Being Lyrically Inclined in Hip Hop
“Music sure has no limit. Peezly is a good example
with his slick metaphors and wordplay on tracks.
He is new around. But his song is worth to check. It will be a long journey to
save hip hop and bring it back to a lyrical sense.”
Music sure has no limit. It will be the reason for
different people to keep the same flow into the brain over and over again.
Those with east coast will have different taste related with the one from west
coast. People can keep the debate all day long for which one is the best one.
But such debate may bring any complete conclusion simple because both are
special in their own way. But when you get mix somebody from the west coast, with a heavy hitting punchline flow from east, You get one thing, Peezly.
Born as Frederick James Griffith, he has had many names since he began lyrically attacking beats at the age of 14. From Freddie-P and the P was for punchlines. Bringing slick metaphors and catchy word play to every track he could get his hands on, he was then dubbed the "16 Bar Assassin" by the CEO of the Block Burners.
Catch Me Spitten is a good example what it means to bring lyrical content to every verse.
It's a breath of fresh air if your a real hip hop head to hear music like this, after consistently bringing nothing but the best bars on instrumentals he was then dubbed The Uncrowndking. Fast forward to where his now, all alias's dropped, he's just known an Peezly. Bringing 16 bars to any and every beat, instrumental or even a jingle, he's determined to stop the nonsense in hip hop and rap music and bring back when lyrics actually meant something. Now that is something I can appreciate.
In the end everyone has their own opinion but in this case his music speaks for himself. He entered the Superstars 2013 Contest by Intel & Ourstage and with no help, no promotions, just letting the music play went from 350th place to the top 50 in days. If that's not good music I'm not sure what is. If you like punchlines in rap music, or music that just makes sense for once, check out Peezly. Like he said himself, "It's my job to put nonsense to a stop, one 16 at a time we save hip hop."
